The doctor decided that she should have an emergency endoscopy and a colonoscopy and she did get a letter from the hospital stating that she would be seen within the next 18 weeks. Not quite what I would call an emergency appointment. She is still waiting. Glad to say that she has been fine in herself, no pain or discomfort. This morning without any warning she coughed up quite a lot of fresh red blood again. She's taken herself off to the hospital where thay have taken blood from her, she's in a bed with a canula in her arm and hopefully we might get some results soon. Worse bit is we are quite a distance from her so it is worrying.

All her blood tests were ok - liver and kidney function ok as was everything else. Best advice the doctor could give her was to wait for the "emergency" endoscopy to see what that showed, if anything. He had no idea of when this would take place. When she asked what she should do if she projectile vomited blood again the advice was to go back to the hospital. Couldn't make it up. I've just advised her to get herself some water and make her way home. If it happens again then sod the lockdown I'll be driving down to pick her up and bring her home.
Thanks lady janine and Barsel. For ummmm - She is not in any pain and hasn't had any pain at all. She has been well and comfortable since the first episode in May with no symptoms at all. Absolutely fine this am until she suddenly had a urge to be violently sick but all that came out was blood, very little else. All we can do now is wait and see if it happens again and deal with it then.
