Two good friends who are bubbled with each other and live in the same village in Tier 4 have decided to stick to their original Christmas plans i.e. to go and stay with their respective children and grandchildren (also in Tier 4) for 3 days and 3 nights over Christmas. They are both well over 70 and one is particularly vulnerable with serious underlying health issues. What would you do?

Dig out my black tie.
Why, what would you do? Presumably completely ignore it seeing you think it's a load of tish anyway
what can anyone do, advise them against it, but if they are determined it up to them.
ignore them? If they want to risk infecting each other, that's their choice. I've had a similar choice to make, and I'll be staying home.

"Presumably completely ignore it seeing you think it's a load of tish anyway"
Bednobs - where did that come from? I'm sticking to Tier 4 rules and O believe we need to go further at this point.
Emmie - not easy to tell friends that they're brainless and with no social conscience and no sense of self-preservation.
I would do nothing. Their choice.

Sorry - that should have said "I believe....."
I'd keep out of it.
Say nothing.
₩////not easy to tell friends that they're brainless and with no social conscience and no sense of self-preservation//////
i wouldn't dare tell friends what they can or cannot do.

I am keeping out of it but it's making me very cross. How can people be so utterly stupid and selfish?
Pressed the wrong key.

It is very, very easy to tell friends they are stupid and totally inconsiderate.
friends are precisely the people I would dare to tell (though actually I wouldn't bother), but once you've said "You're crazy, do you want to kill Granny?" I'd leave it at that.
not your call to make
Their funeral - maybe quite literally.
Pointless getting cross about it , it's not impacting on you just make damn sure you don't see them till at least 17 days + time
Presuming that all involved have discussed, weighed up the risks and are in agreement then they may well be stupid but I don't see why they are selfish if they aren't seeing anybody else.
Maybe not your call, but certainly your duty.
i could have said to friends about their plans but its not business
