It seems we're not getting any changes on AB 'til after xmas so I've set up a grotto for us. Sorry it's a bit like a scene from Great Expectations but I've sprayed a few cobwebs silver & blown the dust off me doileys so please come in & sit down.
What do all the biddies/grumps want to find in their wrinkly stockings this year then? Do you like all this festivity or will you be the grumpy gran/grandpa from hell this year?
Please feel free to take a present out of the bran tub as you leave by the way. Contents may be unidentifiable....oops sorry...be varied.

Morning Biddys.Thats a nice chair you got there gessoo....A vibrating chair...that should cheer you up.He..He...OH no..jno's the ED...! um..jno..about them flowers and kisses I sent you,would appreciate it if you kept quiet..about that..(any duty's Robinia gives you..well im your man..)talking about lifebouy soap..I joined the lifeboys..when i was eleven.and did i see the sea..nope..stuck in an old church hall,learning how to tie knots..um might come in handy if any biddys get out of hand..(:)

Morning O fragrant ones......something very odd happened here, did you notice Vinny?
When I first arrived there were 1541 posts. I was distracted for a short while & when I turned back there were 3 posts less and now Vinny has just posted. My post congratulating shaney on being no. 1500 no longer makes sense....somewhere along this long corridor we've lost something/somebody so if anyone has discovered any banned posts this morning please help to clear up this mystery.......

What a laugh last night's postings were! What happened with jno? The offending post has gone this morning.

I think I overdid the vibrator yesterday (he, he that's what I called the massage mechanism on my superchair) Anyway I felt awful after going out to the P.O. and doing a bit of shopping and was in bed at 6.30pm. Have been up and down all night with aches and pains and Mr G's chesty cold makes him snore even louder and adds in the occasional whistle so he sounds like a steam train approaching a tunnel. Thought I would try to get a bit more kip this morning, but my dogs have spotted someone working outside on the road and haven't stopped barking. (We are so isolated that they rarely see people walking past, so its a great novelty for them!).

Have just cancelled a hair appointment which makes me cross because a good haircut would make me feel better. Just don't fancy walking through a large town in case I get jostled. Not up to it today.

Morning gessoo - as you see we have a mythtewy in the grotto today.

Sorry about the aches & pains - have to say my amble around the shops did me no good either yesterday & I felt rotten by teatime but a visit to the grotto made me feel a little better. Sometimes I'd love to crawl into bed early but my little dog needs to go outside - usually between 9 & 10. He's never quite grasped locking the doors & switching off the lights last thing at night I'm afraid.

Thats a bit strange Robinia.I wonder if ED could shed some light on it??My banned posts still stand at 2,000...He He..so no change there..Take it easy gesso..with your vibrator...your lecky bills gonna be big..but who cares if it brings you relief....(:)

Loved all the postings about cleanliness.

We used to always use Vosene Shampoo. (None of us had dandruff, but I just think Mum liked the smell). However, when money was short we used washing up liquid. Before washing up liquid became common, Mum washed up with 'Omo' soap powder.

Just found these pictures which made me think of makeup as Mum and Nanny always used Max Factor Creme Puff. Mum always used a Max Factor 'Pan Stick' as well. Must look it up.

hello, yes, I no longer stand accused of editorism. Understandable, really - from AB Ed's end of the telescope, the posts accused her of being jno, an intolerable insult to one of her youth, power and personal magnetism as I'm sure you will agree. So I suppose my post could be removed too, as it links to a thread that's no longer there. I'll put a small window box up on the space saved.

Well we must have been posh (not) 'cos we had Knight's Castile soap and shampoo in those lovely squidgy fat sachets - can you remember those? No conditioner though & when you had long hair as we did the untangling made your eyes water.
