Rreoblem Downloading Music On A Cd-R Blank Disc On Windows 10
1 Answers
I am trying to download music with Windows Media Player to a CD-R. It says the music is downloaded but nothing comes out when I play it. here seems to be two problems from what I can ascertain.
When I try and burn music to the blank disc, the list at the top right hand corner gives a different set of lists and not "Eject after Burning," "Audio CD", etc. I get a list that says "Shuffle List", "Sort List by", etc. Not sure why I cannot get the correct list to appear.
The second problem is about the music I have on the Windows Media Player list. It has a name which I have given it and features 10 different tracks. I drop into the section to be recorded; but it says "unsaved list", despite it having a name that covers all of the 10 tracks. When I record, it shows the whole disc being recorded but not as on some illustrations, individually bits being recorded.
I have looked at many help pages online, but cannot figure out why I am having these problem. Any help please, in plain English, would be most appreciated. Thank you.

Windows Media Player is one of the worst bits of software ever inflicted upon the world by Microsoft, so I'm unsurprised when things go wrong.
Use a decent program to burn your CDs:

Then use an equally good program to play your CDs. VLC is the best general purpose media plater, handling video files as well as audio ones

but you might prefer a dedicated audio player, such as MusicBee

Let's face it - almost anything is better than the dreaded Windows Music Player! It's utterly dire and nowhere near as intuitive as many alternative programs (which helps to explain why things frequently go wrong when using it).
