Bbc Quiz : Week 50

It’s probably not one of the hardest weeks for the main quiz but I could still only achieve a middling FOUR out of seven:

It’s a really easy week in the kids’ quiz this week (as, indeed, it should be anyway – it’s not really meant for us grown-ups to do!). However I still couldn’t achieve a maximum, as my memory didn’t accurately stretch back a full year for the Covid question, so that meant a score of FOUR out of five for me:

I kicked myself for getting some answers wrong in the Timed Teaser this week but I still managed a half-decent SIX out of ten:

(I’ll swear that ruddy timer bar moves faster every week though!)
How will YOU do, this week I wonder?

Your 'stab at it' technique seems to have worked well for you with the timed quiz, Cashier! Well done!
It seems not to have been quite as useful for Wolfie though ;-)
[I hope that you like your 'new' laptop, Susan. If you've not used a machine with a solid state drive before, you'll probably notice how much quicker it boots up when you turn it on].
There's not much difference between the scores reported by Clover, Roo and Sam this week, so you can all keep each other company! (I'm well, thank you, Sam, as I hope that you are too. I hope that Roo will be dressing warmly when visiting us here in East Anglia; she'll certainly need to!).
Tony's doing a fine job this week, propping everyone else up with his scores ;-)
[Given that he's used to propping a bar up, that's probably not too surprising, really though!]
