Separate topic for crosswords
I like reading the quiz questions, but find scrolling though all the crossword questions boring. (I also think it is defeating the object to ask other people for the answers!). Could the crossword questions have their own topic? (I now know this has been asked before, but would still like to make the point about defeating the object!").

For more on marking an answer as the "Best Answer", please visit our FAQ.I can understand what you are saying, but surely quiz questions are different to crossword clues. Particularly if you have tried all avenues to find the answer to quizzes. With crosswords, people are asking for answers the same day they appear, and not bothering to tax their brains. I have spent days trying to work out crossword answers, and having to wait until the answers were printed. Where is the satisfaction in asking someone else, you might as well just wait for all the answers to appear and not bother to fill in any. I would not ask the answer to a quiz question until I had exhausted every possible method of finding the answer.
Also its not very entertaining for the rest of us to be asked 'what is the answer to 5 down in today's Daily Blurb' - at least with quiz questions we can all have a go at working them out.
I have met some nice people on Q&P and you have to remember for some of them this a point of contact with other like minded people.Especially if they are elderly or housebound.Others perhaps don't have the time to search around and want to get their crosswords in the post asap. It gives us all a bit fun and what is wrong with that.Otherwise we could all sit with our heads in reference books and they may as well close the whole thing down.
