I tried my best this past weekend to persuade MrSmow to agree to us going to buy our Xmas tree & put it up. (We always have a real tree). He refused point blank, albeit in a teasing way, as it was not December yet. He said we can go and get it next weekend. Chatted to quite a few friends/family over the weekend and was surprised at just how many have actually got their trees up already - all artificial but still look fab. Even they all agreed that they don’t usually put their trees up this early and weren’t sure why they have this year lol.
Soooo who’s got their tree up yet, or any decorations at all?? And if not then when do you usually put yours up?

Not a chance, another 3 weeks yet at least.
No tree, no decorations, no lights.
Not now, not ever!
Absolutely not - it's still November
Nooooo. Ask me again in three or four weeks.
Yes mines up and ready for the big switch on by Ant & Dec ( joking of course) I’ve decided this year to go without baubles and instead put the small toys I’ve bought like the ones from Macy’s in NY and a few I bought in Mijas recently ,I’ve also got three gorgeous knitted angels, one was done by my neighbour who’s daughter passed away 18months ago , I helped her , so that angel is called Leanne
No. A week before Xmas probably. It will be an artificial one. My little Grandson's parents will probably put there's up anytime soon. :-)

Funny thing is we always always have a real tree - the only thing MrSmow insists on - but once it’s bought and home it’s ME that decorates it! Every light, bauble, you name it, I put it on Lol ! I don’t know why I want to put it up so early this year lol - maybe because it’s been such a stressful year I just feel like a little bit of tinsel and sparkle lol!
Thats understandable Smow. I'm sure loads of people feel the same. Go with what makes you happy.
I did buy some pretty little coloured lights, to wrap around my bush in the back garden :-)
We have real trees too, smow. We have a permanent one outside.
Patsy one can not beat a colourful bush ;0)
I'll be away, so no decs. Just some fairy lights in the lounge.
I never put up a tree...if I did it wouldn't be until the weekend before Christmas. A real one.
Bobbi, well, I like to think so.. :-))
You’re a fashion icon Patsy :0)))
No too early for me, maybe around 9th, mines artificial and only takes about five minutes to set up. As I usually don’t spend Christmas at home no point in making a big effort.
There’s plenty around where I live that have their house’s and gardens decked out already, I have to say they do look fantastic.
Red Lion Hotel , Fareham . ...
There's a Christmas tree in the foyer and has been there since the middle of September
I love to see all the houses with their Christmas lights outside.

I have a very slim artificial ‘pop-up’ tree that goes in the hallyway, but a real one in the lounge. God knows what these two cats (17montns old) will do to it!! Lol
I tried ours out last night but I’ll restrain myself till Thursday , got to say it looked lovely and cosy with the lights twinkling and lamps on, it’s been a rotten year for many so why not ‘light up’
Smow, my cat used to scale the tree and perch on top sending decorations flying everywhere. He looked better than the fairy! Very funny. ;o))

The tree is up, upstairs in its box but I have sorted my Advent pyramid, yesterday being the first day of Advent.
