Revocation Request
Hi there, my community order of 200 hours was around 140 hours completed when I moved from north to the south at the end of last year, I registered with the local probation straight away and didn't receive another placement until April this year. Unfortunately since then I have been plagued with illness. I've had a consistent sick note form the doctor while several growths in my neck and various symptoms are investigated. Anyway, my probation worker has told me they have had to send this back to court for lack of progress with a revocation request. Despite having these notes consistently. What is likely to happen? I'm really worried. Thank you for any help

I'm just confused, if I have a doctors note - does it not just get extended for a time when I'm healthy enough again to handle the manual labour?
To the best of my knowledge, an offender who breaches a Community Order would normally have to attend court, rather than with the matter being dealt with in his absence.
It will be up to the court to determine whether it's practical to leave the existing Community Order in place. If it's clear that it's not (e.g. because there would seem to be little chance of you being fit for manual work in the near future), the court will be forced to re-sentence you for the original offence but taking into account that you've already completed 70% of the Community Order.
