Occasionally News.

Sometimes law

Enjoy peoples differing opinions.

 

Never look in Sport, gaming, home and garden, motoring etc.

It used to be R&S - when that was full of fun, lively discussion and well-informed people.  Now I wander and stop at whatever grabs my interest.

I regard Travel as my 'specialist' section (which is possibly rather odd, as I'm certainly not well-travelled!) but there aren't that many posts there these days, so I usually have to look elsewhere on AB to find something to post about. 

Technology and Law are areas that I feel I can sometimes contribute to.  If I can help out in Body & Soul or Home & Garden by posting links to reliable websites (such as the NHS or RHS ones), I'll always do so.

I tend to avoid News but I will look in there occasionally.

Most of my own 'questions' seem to be in Chatterbank though, which is a section that I'll always check out anyway.

Unlike most fundies that Ive had the misfortune of talking with he had a good sense of humor.

He did have a good sense of humour, more so in the early days though.  We often chortled along together with a rendering of Roll out the Barrel or some such classic.   Great fun!😂

My best times on AB was on the Crossword section with some really helpful and not self opinionated people who enjoyed a laugh and banter without any animus. Dannyk,Captain,Briand,Margo,Mac et al

Crosswords, CB, food and drink. I was quite active here 10ish years ago. One day, my password wouldn't work and i struggled to reset it so I threw a hissy fit and ignored AnswerBank for a while. So I don't know what's changed inbetween, I reappeared here today! Amazing to see so many 'originals' here, though! I'll just keep hitting refresh and see what come up

It all used to be so much more light-hearted and mutually respectful (or is that me?). 

Anyway, these days I browse through News, but rarely dare to comment; then Body & Soul where I can sometimes offer something; Chatterbank follows - same thing. I like to venture into Art & Lit. I have, in my time, been a Head of English and also a Head of Art (not at the same time!) and feel more comfortable.  History is also a haunt which I enjoy (I've taught it to GCSE level and am writing an historical novel).

I've virtually given up on Religion & Society & Culture - no nuanced debates any more.
