Welcome to Title Builder Beta.

This small piece of kit is designed to make building your Quiz, Crossword or Puzzle question more effective. It should make finding your question easier for others and, the easier it is to find, the more likely someone is to answer it!

To build an easy to find question title simply select the paper and quiz, enter the quiz number if relevant and fill in the Publication Date. Once you’re happy click “Build Title” and the information should populate the Title field. Fill in the final required details of your question as you normally would, and click submit.

As this is a Beta we only have a limited number of papers and quizzes listed. If you think your favourite Quiz, Crossword or Puzzle should be listed here don’t hesitate to contact us.

Remember: You do not have to use the title builder - simply enter the title and question as you normally would and click submit!

It was pretty easy this week but no weak clues.

We struggled getting the extra letter in 39d.

Fairly straightforward, but as you say, no easy clues. The grid doesn't look too restrictive, and the extra words yield only one letter, so I think I'd have tried to incorporate a little more of the theme into the clues. I see one obvious reference in an across clue - maybe I've missed a couple more (it's not my specialist subject). There's a lot to choose from, and I don't think it's the last time we'll see this theme. Thanks, Almasti.

A theme which makes me "reach for my revolver" despite (or perhaps because of) living two miles from the national centre. But a fun puzzle with well disguised extra words. A rather generous grid with a high proportion of checked letters made it a little too easy. Thanks Almasti
