Yes we can see where the country is heading cant we.  I guess Sir Free Gear is admitting the indigeonous wont be the majority soon?

On a wider note, why should the PM be holding an event  to celebrate Diwali?

Maybe many Hindu plus one guests weren't Hindu themselves, and meat & wine was for them under the aim of inclusion ? It's important to cater for the norm.

Who knows what goes through politicians' minds, Judge. More inclusion no doubt. To be on good terms, or otherwise, with all equally, perhaps.

There's ingratitude for you.  I wouldn't ask them again.

Not all would have been vegetarians or total abstainers. It's easy enough to provide an assortment of food and drinks to suit everyone.

A funeral I went to catered for meat-eaters, veggies and vegans with no problems - result : everyone happy!

So if it had been a do celebrating world vegan day (or whatever), having Scotch eggs and salmon mousse would have been okay?

Whoever organised the event should be hung, drawn and quartered.  They should have done some research before planning the event.
