they do that down my way, but the place to collect it is the sorting centre a couple of miles away.

That already happens with Royal Mail and DPD.

I like RM, they text me to let me know when it's going to be delivered and I can change the delivery date very easily

Not with DPD here anymore. Had a delivery a couple of days ago and, although I had a time slot, he just put the parcel on the step and went.

I was watching for him as I'm disabled and like parcels to be handed to me - difficult to get in off the step.

By the time I got to the door he was out the gate. Shades of Evri!

Had a text message just 3 days ago claiming to be from Evri. Claimed they rang my doorbell but no one had answered and asked me to click a link to arrange redelivery. Suspicious I thought, but the text showed the phone number, in itself also suspicious, so I checked it on the Web. Apparently Evri must be using a London escort agency to inform folk of undelevered parcels !

I live in Greater London and we regularly have deliveries from everyone ranging from R.M, Evri, DPD, Yodel.... and not one has ever,never left a card! Am quite lucky in that we have a porch so most parcels they can  leave there if nobody is in, but if nobody is home they just they don't leave a thing to say they tried to deliver. Mind you, I've had a couple of txts before to say 'Attempted delivery but nobody was home' when I've been sat looking out of the window!
