Even tho' the sun's shone I've been frozen the past 2 days shaney, it's finally gone up a degree or two but I'm keeping my clouts on.
Oooh, my poor aching sticks I've turned the kitchen upside down but I can't find a dead wasp...it's unmissable, it's as big as the one in jno's pic...the worry now is that it's got a hidey hole where it's planning on raising a family. Well I'll be ready for it tonight, fight like with like I say

btw, the good news is the kitchen's now sterile enough to do small ops if you're in desperate need...I'm a bit short on anaesthetic tho, so you'll have to manage with a quick whiff of magic marker & bite on a wooden spoon.

if it's dead, it'll probably shrink, buggers arn't they, there are some big ones about. I found a wee hornet's nest (not a small hornet but a small mud nest) under the rim of the pool, so banged if off before it could cause any harm. One lonely hornet (waspy type thing) flew out so I had to tread on it before I thought about it!!
Afternoon each. Lovely day here today. Brown and Blue bin men have been today. Lovely they looked too! !:o) I've been busy giving them a scrub (the bins i.e.)
My poor lady blackbird has had something happen to her tail feathers. Oew of them is sticking out at right angles. It could have been a cat or she just got it caught somewhere.
Have to go to the 'cryo' clinic this afto to get a 'thing' frozen off. I get them regularly, they are like warts and are horrible. They're not where they can be seen thank goodness except if I go swimmming.
Hope you find your wasp dead Robi. I don't like them and especially if they're big. I put my hand into a potato bag years ago and got stung and never like them since.
It's still not warm enough for me to do bedding plants is it Robi. I will leave it for a few weeks yet I think as you suggest. I will be glad when I've done them though cos I have loads of empty pots in a pile in the garden.
Have a good rest of the day everybiddy!! see yer later 'gater(s)

My tomato plant outside the gate is flourishing, there are 4 or 5 little ones growing. Still raining and yet still more washing to get dry. I do the washing everyday and sometimes more, so where is it coming from. Daughter all packed up and Mr N is (apparently) sitting upright in a chair and snoring his head off! Bless!!
It's definitely too cold of a night for bedding plants Jude .Well it is here .We've just come back from Morrisons and that east wind is freezing .
We went on a roundabout way via the sea front and there were only a few old dears huddled in the shelters in spite of it being really sunny .
There are some hardy souls wandering about in next to nothing but my clouts are still firmly attached to my body .
Speaking of wasps ,when I used to work at the bakers, in spite of having a zapper, in they used to come obviously tempted by the sweet stuff.
We became dab hands at grabbing them in the cake tongs and squeezing them to death. We used to have a little pile of them by the end of the day .
I'm very afeared of being stung by anything this summer ( when it actually arrives) so have bought some stuff to spray on my legs for out in the garden .
Oh well I suppose I had better go and eat my fresh cream meringue :)

Don't ask me Neti .I always seem to have stacks of washing .Mind you I'm my own worst enemy .I only use towels ,flannels and teatowels once and they go in the wash and I never wear anything twice !
That sounds terrible really but I suppose having been brought up to make me libby bodice last a week I tend to overdo it a bit :)

haha Neti ..I would have thought those who think are they are so clever at knowing who's who would have sussed it out by now particularly when on one post he said he was only in his 50's and hadn't had sex with his wife for twelve years .He's wasted on here ,he should be writing best selling novels with his vivid imagination :) .

Hope your 'thing' goes well Jude, I've got another mole on my back that I think needs looking at, it starting to rub on my clothes....always summat.

haha, that's me woofy, I have a post viral madness too...luckily it passes :o) I had a friend who bleached the place everytime one of them had been ill...there were 5 in their house, I think Domestos sent her xmas cards.
I was the other way around with Joanna. Years ago I thought she seemed affected & a posh daddy's girl type until I saw her on something called (I think) 'when I get to heaven' and she talked of some of the amazing things she'd done on her travels with such passion & humbleness that I warmed to her & have liked her ever since.
Is humbleness a word?.... 'tis now, did I mention I'm tired?
