Hope you feel better soon. I'm feelin ok at the mo. My colitis has settled for a bit and I have got used to my diet now.
Have a good time Jno take some photos for us to look at.
I will let you know if my son does some more for youtube Kit. I don't think he's in the mood at the mo. He's busy cooking and cleaning for himself. I've offered to help but he seems quite independent at the mo. Hope it was my upbringing, even though I wouldn't mind helping him. Not got a deal to do today going to have my munch (oops lunch) then go for a bit of a stroll. My sister has gone to stay with oine of our cousins for a few days in Devon so it's a walk on my own.
Hope everything goes ok for you Neti have a good time.
Off to cook now see yer later 'gater(s)

Hello lovelies
Absolutely lovely Robinia .You put the Keukenhof to shame .I have no idea why Jno needs to travel to the Netherlands when she could have a tour of your garden for free .
Mind you I expect you charge for use of the outside lav :)
Seriously ,have a lovely time Jno and enjoy .Safe journey .
After a lovely sunny morning it's gone down the pan to dull and cloudy but rather warm .Big black clouds hanging over Shaneytowers.
Take heart Jude ,these things always work out in the end .Que Sera, Sera :)
Hope you are all having a nice day, peace and love to Geronimo who is probably smoking his peace pipe round his chimney thing .
I hope you're coping Neti .Just give 'em a list ,a microfibre ,a few pegs and send them in the direction of the mangle and you're sorted :)
T.Pip for now .

Neti can always lock 'em in the closet with George
Thanks mi dears you're too kind...I love the tulips, very bright but it's just what's needed after a long dark winter & I love the smell of wallflowers, takes me back to being little...I think they smelt stronger then though, or was it because I was closer to the ground? I've boogered my hand doing some snipping yesterday, the joints are very painful...good job I'm not doing any piano recitals tonight. I wanted to wash me hair but I don't think I'll be able to hold the drier... I can still stick two fingers up tho'... haha
haha you sound like me Jude, I'm pleased my son's can look after themselves. It wasn't always met with enthusiasm but I did try to teach them the basics...cooking, supermarket shopping, sewing on a button, sweeping chimbleys. :o)
Last Foyle tonight :o(. I hope they do some more. In an interview I saw recently Honeysuckle hinted that there might be scope to go on.

I hope there's going to be some more Foyle .Though I suppose we'll have to wait another couple of years .I often wonder why Anthony Horowitz hasn't jumped on the book bandwagon .I'm sure they'd be bestsellers .
Just had a downpour here. The ground needs it actually .It's been a while since we had any rain .
And of course as I pegged a few bits out I noticed the dear little snails and slugs vacating their hidey holes .Drop of rain and out they come, teeth bared and ready to munch everything in sight .

*snatches http://i43.tinypic.com/2iqiaep.jpg from robinia* Started reading where I left off last night and it made me cry out for a padded cell: I'm one hundred percent sure I changed 'Dancing' (With Biddies) to 'Dances' and yet there it stands. It was completely driving me up the puta virus paranoia wall...! ...until I figured it out: I type and keep links alternatively in my desktop Notepad and in the AB typing box and I don't always remember to copy the proofread version - so no evil puta ghosts involved, just forgetfulness - phew! Cancel the padded cell will you biddies, I'll just have the padded pavement. BTW wasn't that a great film, I like Kevin Costner.
Lovely garden photos Robi, you should be in The Yellow Book (we get the television series here). 'Running Beer' ha ha ha! Or Vinny I'll be swedeheart and you'll be weedheart >>>>>>
I know you must all be waiting with bated breath for me to produce some intricate lacework after Shaney's packet arrived... but it's not going so well. The booklet is so inspiring - there are some handkerchief edgings I'd die for - and the instructions are very clear - but it's really really difficult to hold the yarn in a way that wouldn't cause a physiotherapist to cry blood. I've produced a few inches but I'm very sorry to say this is a craft I'll never master:( But I REALLY enjoy having this new understanding of how it's done so Shaney you know I'm happy about it anyway:)

Kit ....you need to be ambidextrous to be able to tat by the look of it !
At least you gave it a go which is more than I did after filing the booklet under .."Things to do when you may possibly reach ninety "
We've often been to the Marine Festival here and there's a group from some village in the middle of nowhere who do lacemaking .Fascinating to watch .But ....how they do it is a complete mystery to me .

...and that's why I'm still happy about having tried: Cos it's not a mystery anymore. And now I know what shuttles are for! Just look at this beauty (photo from some blog). It's the "Three Muses Cameo Tatting Shuttle made of rare pink ivory wood" http://i44.tinypic.com/33w6vk8.jpg - to die for!
I love these sort of things and have to admit that apart from a huge collection of knitting patterns and books I have things like antique darning mushrooms and a really silly collection of needle gauges and other paraphernalia .Why I collect this sort of thing along with blue and white china is beyond me .I get over excited and just accumulate more clutter .Mind you some of the blue and white is worth a few bob .
Just shove me in a corner and wiggle your fingers at me .
I need that sort out your junk person .

No need to be paranoid Kit, we know what you mean....well, most of the time. I'd never be able to tatt, it takes me all my time to crochet a square which usually turns into a trapezium.
shaney! ya monkey, ...I won't tell a soul in cb you were naked from the neck down, hahaha...go on, grab your tiara & show 'em how it's done

(No I was just being paranoid about the possibility of some weird virus Robi.)

Shaney i collect that kind of thing too! not the blue and white but the needlecrafts stuff and I also have small collection of housewives. I keep them all in an old wooden box..its lovely to rummage through.
The other thing that i am amassing is (?are) single teacups and saucers. Some are old, either from the family or found in fairs and some are newer. I have some pretty ones that I have bought at m and s. A cup and saucer together is only about 7 quid so its a cheap hobby.
We are having no fun here, I am just about over the cold and DH has started throwing up. He started at lunchtime and went to bed at 4 pm today hence the dinner of dry aged sirloin steaks, english asparagus and jersey royals sat in the fridge. He was so green poor love I didn't think that cooking smells would be fair so i had a salad instead....oh well tomorrow is another day. The boys are out in the garden chasing moths and bats in the twilight. While I was typing this, a big barsteward of a mosquito has bitten my foot to ribbons so its time to shut the french windows

I'll have to dig out the one with the feather boa ,mind you I may need Kit to edit ,my tiara on that one looks a bit tarnished .
Oh Foyle was sooo sad ,he's gone ,to America and I was waving my soggy tissue at the end .Pretty obvious the chap was his son .Sob and double sob .
Still.on the bright side there's Laurence Fox to gaze at next week ans Alan has a new series ,Seasons .
Woofy ,you worry me .You seem to get a lot of bugs and colds .Move to the coast .
You need some good old Gorleston fresh air : )
Oh yes housewives .I've some of those .I've inherited an awful lot of stuff from my In laws side .
All the old maiden aunts work boxes and stuff .I have needles and pins german style going back to the year dot .And the most beautiful needlework that they did in the form of tablecloths etc.and an absolutely beautiful hand made needle work box that you couldn't buy for love nor money .
Tea cups and saucers ? Come round here .You would not believe how much stuff we still have in storage:))
I foisted a lot of things round the family but we still have lots to sort .I've come to a halt .We just pay the storage each month and it sits there for the duration .

Morning all - rushing in whilst everyone is asleep. Just been for blood tests. Have also downloaded (uploaded) my blk & white avaiator!, cos life was all in black and white in those days wasn't it?
Getting jolly warm here. Blow-up bed deflated with poor sister on it, so now it's musical beds, if one snores they move into hija's room and she goes on couch. I am shattered!

all well here at woofgang towers. DH is drinking tea and keeping it down and the antihistamines I took last night have returned my foot to its proper size and colour. DH says he feels tired but better so I am hoping it was a 24 hour thing. Would love to move up to yours Shaney and its still the plan but we are tied here for now as DH is still supporting fil in Somerset. He visits about every 10 days and its a pop from here but a bit more of an expedition from Norfolk.
