Nothing much to report from Shaneytowers .Turned out a lovely day here after a downpour earlier .
Just been doing lots of garden bashing and trailing back and forth to my brothers,picking the runner beans and toms .I don't now where to go with them all .I've got enough beans to blow all the way to Woolacombe !
Of on my hols soon .So am trying to sort out what to take ..Gone are the days of shoving it all in a bag at the last minute . I can't be rushed .We were going away on Thursday but due to some sort of mix up with our internet booking it will be Tuesday week now .So am psyching myself up to bob across the North Sea .I hope it's calm !

Good day everyone - had a couple of wines last night and oooh my head, up at 7am and went to boot sale, got 3 cordless phones for home - and oodles more, so happy. Adopted sister is here this afternoon and then tonight "That'll be the Day" and great rock'n'roll show. Boy am I shattered.

Went to rock'n'roll show last night and the theatre caught on fire so we were all herded outside to await the fire engines - when they turned up we whisteled and hooted and clapped them and it was great fun. Saw the rest of the show eventually and thoroughly enjoyed it. Been shopping again today.

I love this English weather.

Tarquin has been to sort out my printer & scanner so I can print off some patterns.... Hermeseta's mum has done every craft known to man at some point, we'll have to get a cottage industry going. I should have cards ready by xmas 2010.

He's been telling me about the joys of Wii games & Wii fit too (ARE YOU LISTENING KIT??) The way things are going in the retail business they might be selling them cheaper soon.

Were your ears burning Vin?...I showed him the sheep racing & the tar barrel burning after he told me one of his tinter buddies in the US had said this country was mad for doing things like cheese rolling...haha...she ain't seen nothing til she's seen the Devon dolallies.

While we were playing we found this pic that I love. I don't think I've posted it before...it's T down a very deep lead mine in Brassington, it closed about 1890 & the tools are all just left lying where they were used. The light is from two flashes, it's actually pitch dark, I think it's very poignant, makes you think....

Hi there, can't stop laughing about the T bags.
I hope you are all well - I'm afraid I've been struck down with the dreaded lurgy. Aching all over and a bit feverish. Taking paracaetomols and keeping warm, haven't been far in the last 3 days.
Hope I'm better tomorrow I've arranged to go and see Mamma Mia with a friend. Have any of you seen it? My 2 sisters have seen it twice so thought I'd better give it a go.

All that backcombing .That was a task and a half .And half a tin of lacquer .Do you remember that hair lacquer that you used to put in a squeezy bottle .I can't remember how we used to buy it now. It was sort of pink and really sticky .I can remember buying sachets of Supersoft shampoo for fourpence and then going to have the mop put up in curls with about a thousand hairpins .
I digress ..hope you are feeling better now Jude ..You'll have to get Tbag to come round and pamper you with some hot lemon and honey :)
