Or is this type of censorship a prime example of typical PC / �nanny state� (AB Ed in this case) interference?
I thought it was a great shame that the entire thread had been removed (I think there was something like 40 to 50 posts). Although I appreciate there were a few irrational and hysterical responses that will have drawn criticism, the majority of people however, had taken the time and trouble to present well thought out, reasoned arguments to support their opinions. Surely only those views that contravened the Site Rules should have been removed, leaving the rest intact.
I would have thought that this sort of sweeping wholesale deletion might deter people from making the effort to contribute to the site in future, and that would be a shame.

When I last saw the post I didn't think there was anything remotely offensive on it, perhaps a couple of terms that were used to emphasise that language from a bygone decade could now be considered offensive. But that was all.
