I have a thick, very sticky white substance on some of my conservatory plants. I presume it is from an insect as it doesn't look like mould. I have sprayed it with insecticide but nothing shifts it. Any ideas welcome. Should I get rid of the plants?

Ooooooooh !!!!!!!

faints -THUD!

Phew, glad I didn't see that before I went to the shop I wouldn't have been able to function hehe..... I think the Ed's gotta see that one - she'll be pinning it to her wall.

Much more pleasant & manageable here today, would be nice if was like this all summer. Hope everyone is ok.
I think I need a drink.....
Pull yourself together Jude it's only a picture!!!

Hello my darlings - neti here and almost back on track. Made a huge mistake, it wasn't the neurologist I had to see but the nefrologist (don't ask) - apparently they are the ones who diagnose the problems, and she seems to think it's either my kidneys or my neck. I was sitting in the wrong waiting room amongst all these "loopy" people being teapots etc and wondering what one earth was happening to me - such a relief whern I was told to go to another room. Very strange weather we are having this year, today is windy and overcast although warmish, I actually like it.

Hope Baby James is doing well xxx

hehe - borrow my xray specs Jude

hi neti - glad you seem brighter & that you made it to the right dept but neck or kidneys? how are they related? we're all medical mysteries....

well, I promised myself I wasn't going to grumble today but I've got to ask whether this sounds familiar to any of you?....I've dreadful pain around my ankle as though I have a tight strap across the front of it. As it builds up my foot starts to feel cold (but it isn't) & numb & pain goes up my shin. Then it subsides for a while & starts over again. I've had a dodgy knee for some time which gives way (painfully).....I really should go & get it looked at. I'm no stranger to pain but this is a new one....think I need condemning.....
Good grief Vinny ..I had to run and find my magnifying glass !
Sorry to hear your probs girls ..hope you are soon feeling better.
I would take that foot to the doctor Robinia ..I get a numb foot sometimes ..mainly the toes which stems from my dodgy knee.
Netti ..if you have a neck like mine where the bones are rubbing together this can affect the nerve endings almost anywhere in your body. What a lot of poor old things we are at times !
Had a heavy downpour here earlier which has cleared the air ...lovely again now . Amazing how that heavy burst has brightened things up in the garden.
Take care everyone xx

Hi Neti good to hear from you. Hope things get sorted for you health-wise.

And Shaney hope you are feeling ok.

Robinia I have no idea what's up with you foot I'm hopeless at diagnosis. Whatever it is I hope it gets better soon.

What's the matter with me - well I've got a big insect bite on my arm but I shouldn't complain beacause apart from that I'm feeling ok. Work tomorrow - hope it cools down for then as our uniforms aren't any good when it's hot outside.

Oh well back to the footie!

Robbie, I have problems with both my feet as a result of my back, hip and knee problems which has resulted in an awkward posture and which, the rheumatologist and podiatrist both think, has affected my feet.

Sometimes I could cry with the pain in my ankles and the top of my feet and very often my little pinkie and the toe next to it on both feet go dead. I also get dreadful cramp and pain in the ligament just above my ankle on the outside of my leg.

I would see a doctor and get it checked out.

Evening folks..lovely day here, and looks good for the next few days...whats the weather like where you are...ive seen the forecast so no cheating he he.if its raining and cloudy for the next few days, you can always look at are webcam..if your good...hahaha.Right girls..where's yer photos,Im pulling up me lounger and waiting in anticapation..(:-)
