Imposterers in the Answerbank

has anyone else had their username impostered as many time as me? This has to be the fourth time! The user is not green either and so this isn't even an impulse thing, it is pre-meditated scullduggery. The person using dot.howkes has tried this before, homer's best mate, jno, spotted it and then our bez did too. I wondered what jno was on about last night but i was busy with other things and so didn't get on here much. Anyone seeing this name just double check the spelling, though if it is a nasty post it won't be me as i am not nasty, except to imposterers.

People shud come up with original names full stop. i hope there is no other Zeus's on here.

I was worried that someone cud guess my password or email address...and request password reminder to be emailed.

So in this incarnation I chose email address with no relavence to screen name, unlike my zorro one...which was kinda obvious email address if anyone fancied guessin it.

I chose this name A) coz its great and B) coz its very short and the * * thunderbolts are very ditinctive so everyone will know if there is an imposter.

Used to get occasional posts from God Zeus but haven't seen him for a while. Dot I think you will just have to regard it as the price of fame, like all those Abba imitators.

But the main thing is, well, Zues is a sc\reen name, i have always been dozy enough to use my real name on here, in a number of varaitions, so it is worse as it really is impostering not just choosing a similar non-descript username. i have been Dot Hawkes since june 1978 and so it is odd seeing someone nick my own ID!

Dot ....I have been impostered loads of times.Even threatened with the "I know where you live and know your Email address" type nasty thing They amuse me because they are never greenies.... always wait two weeks to turn grey and then start their mischief.I have had this happen no end of times .I did change my username once but they still carried on. I have been impostered as Shineystar,Cheneystar., Shaniestar.
They are a pain in the proverbial.
These people just cause confusion and ill feeling.
I have my reputation to consider on Q&P.(Lol) !!
I am getting a bit fed up of the whole caboosh to be honest.I am not interested in who had what for lunch or whether runner beans squeak when you eat them.
I doubt you will see me anymore round AB except on Q&P.

To the best of my knowledge ('cos there are parts of AB which I visit only rarely), there's been only one attempt to usurp my identity. (Actually, I felt quite flattered that someone had taken the trouble to do it. At least the post was quite funny and only gently mocked the style of my posts).

I'm getting worried though, Dot. Please tell me that it was the real Dot Hawkes who promised to flirt with me the other day! I'll be disappointed if it was someone else :-)

Anyway, we all know when it's the real you, 'cos you're the only one who habitually adds an extra two letters to 'imposter'!

dot do they actually use your own user name or a slight variation of it? If they are copying your own name then the AB ed should be able to stop it...shouldn't he/she?
