If insurance companies base risk assesments on sex, why then do they not also base it on ethnicity, hair colour or shoe size?

that would give them even more reason to hike up the rip off prices.Their main risk assessment is engine power/performance your age and very importantly your postcode - because finding cheap insurance in an inner city area is nigh on impossible

The fact is that males have more accidents than females, statistically speaking, whereas the other factors you mention do not contribute to how likely you are to make a claim, (luckily for my wife, who is Belgian, ginger haired, and has big feet!)
