Back again - haven't had any problems posting anything, or understanding the post-preview-submit, it was just a case of looking for the facilities we were once used to, via the so called tag!

Does seem rather long winded!
smudge dear, be kind to an old woman - where or what are the tags????and I don't have W word at the top.
Neti my dear old lady - I've only just eaten my dinner, then washed & fried up, (whoops dried up), I have a house full downs stairs & I'm trying so hard to creep up here on my own - just to get as far as the blinking Blog!!!!

I will endeaver to do my best, to God & the Queen......

Love from the other old lady!!!!
Don't you shout at me in that tone of voice young lady, remember you'll be old one day!!!! All I want to k now is where is my tag?
Can't get on to the second page now - grrr - grits teeth.
your tag isn't still tied round your ankle is it neti? We tied it there last time you wandered away from the biddybus so people would know where to return you to. It was in English and Catalan, just in case.
If I could reach you young jno, I'd clip you round the ears. cheeky young whippersnapper (neti is not in a good mood today)
When I click on next page on this thread, it takes me back to the list of AB Suggestions - why the hell were these new procedures put into practice & they don't even work????
In case its not been described:-
Tags are the name given to the way to make the text appear bold, italic or underlined.
FAQs give 3 choices:

Typing < B > before a word then < /B > after makes the text bold. (Take out the extra spaces between the < and the 'B' by the way. or it won't work. I put them in to get the thing to show on screen otherwise it would just bold, or underline etc)

To make italics, type < I > and then < /I >

To underline type < U > and to finish < /U >

Whatever teat is between the start and stop instruction - ie the tags - will be the bold, italic or underlined

The extra symbols don't show on the text as it appears on the screen on the answer. Preview shows you have done this correctly, and the FAQ section for AB says only these 3 options work - no colours . . .

Pedantic but may help.
just testing !!!
!!!!
how crap is that tag idea??? why not just keep the line of buttons?

and i don't want an edit facility to be automatic - i can't be bothered waiting for pages to load every time i answer

i simply check my answer BEFORE i submit, thereby negating the need to preview it.

besides, the odd typo doesn't really matter does it
testing<B/>
wrong way round neti - < /b > not < b/ > (and minus the spaces I inserted to make it appear on screen). Otherwise, you've got it.
Morning Neti - hope you're feeling better today. ^8^

Nickmo - I was going to copy & past the same as you did last night, but switched off my pc & enjoyed the rest of the evening with my visitors!

Life's far too short to be bothering with someone else's shoddy ill thought out design!!!!
smudge, you've got a life outside AB? I wish I could get one of those! Now to enroll myself at Tag School...
Yes, I most certainly have jno & am now off out for the day to enjoy the fresh air & sunshine while it lasts!

Enjoy all the fun on here!
Just logged in and now have a headache. All too much for me to take in. Now logging out..................................
testing again
testing in italics

testing in underlining
Is it really worth the bother???
