When I type a website address, my computer remembers which sites I have visited before or searched for and the drop down menu brings the list up.

Problem is, I have incorrectly typed (not concentrating) and hit search for some sites, assuming I had picked up the highlighted address in the drop down menu. For example, I have typed www.goo and then the full address for google comes up, I have hit enter but not picked the full address up so it searches for www.goo!

My question is, how do I delete this mistyped address searches off the drop down menu, its driving me crackers because I keep having to type full address or Im picking up one the incorrect ones. Have tried deleting my history, but this doesnt effect the wed address line drop down field.

Sorry if this is complete gabble! Hope someone can figure what Im twittering on about! Thanks x

Marvellous, thankyou Ethel, that was exactly what I wanted to do! It had sounded right it im head but wasnt sure it translated well! great, thanks again.
Erm... maybe you could try tools>internet options>content>autocomplete>clear all forms>clear all forms apart from passwords. Or - tools>internet options>clear history. Note though, these will clear ALL your address entries. Hope this helps you, I am not an expert but it did it for me!
