and now it appears I can submit things, here's my rant...
Ed, I'm not against people asking questions about controversial issues or topics that might spark memories of things other people might rather forget (like the post about turning life support off, not so long ago ) as I feel these are general discussion topics. However, posing as someone is distress and calling on others for "sympathy" and "advice", to only have it abused is too much. If it is her/hi/it then clearly it's unacceptable but to be honest it doesn't strike me that it is her, not her style, so maybe the girl was just asking a question? If you really feel you've been stitched up by her then report it as jno says.

goodness, cat, don't you look slinky since you went italic...
Anyway, this is an example, I guess, of how SR and her other names are poisoning the well, making people suspicious of everyone. My own guess is that lilminx is indeed the same person (if this was a genuine post on such a sensitive matter, and it was your first, would you choose a username like lilminx?), though I respect the opinion of you guys who scored lower on the Machiavelli test (nox, your low score didn't surprise me for a moment, you're clearly a sensitive sweetie). But if someone comes along with a genuine hard luck tale, they're going to struggle to be believed, and that's a shame.

even if it wasnt a genuine question, it may just have helped someone with a similar dilemma. When i was 11 my Mum left home and i was in exactly that position. I was so embarrassed by this subject and my Dad was very old school. Men just didnt buy these things. Things are maybe a lot more open these days but i thought it was a good question none the less.
to be honest julie, that's not really the point.
I too went through it and at the time it was rather embarrassing and difficult. I was trying to help someone through that. I don't appreciate my genuine compassion being used in some sick 'joke'.
So, what I wanted ed to do, was to tell me I'm not wrong in thinking, as has been suggested, that this wasn't a genuine post.

Hi joko,
2nd attempt at posting....god, it's so frustrating!
The inconsistencies that this "gang" have is laughable! Reminds me of 'The gang that couldn't shoot straight'.
As said before, have to have a good memory if your gonna lie your way through life. Lost it a bit last night, and posted that one member had lied about where he was from. Has not defended 'him/herself' on the matter, probably trying to think up some pathetic reason. Cannot abide liars, whether here on cyber or out "in the real world". Some high and mighty will say the usual 'get a life', but if you are to enjoy this site, then at least be honest with your fellow ABers.
