How about displaying a userlist and having the option to block certain users from being displayed ... wouldn't it solve a lot of problems on here?

Maybe Nick would like to express an opinion about such a person eh?
Nobody needs to be honest if they don't want to on here. When you register with AB, all they ask for is your name, dob and an e-mail address (which can say anything: sausage&beans@......) neither your name or dob, is checked. It's all on trust. So how could a userlist prove who you were?
My name is Marilyn Monroe, dob 10/10/76, country of birth/origin South Africa, e-mail [email protected]
P.S. Don't try the e-mail addy, it's made up !!

I always use made up names ....not just to be devious..but there have been cases in past apparently of other people getting into others AB accounts by guessing their passwords or something. SO I always put made up names on my hotmails and made up postcodes aswell as putting made up detailes on my AB reg.

I don't have an opinion about anybody on here, I was only suggesting a viable method by which you could filter out all the unwanted detritus in a post, by just displaying the users that you thought might actually contribute something to the question asked ... p.s. sorry I didn't highlight every other word, but it's a bit tedious typing in all that html
You mean filter out all the people you don't like and who might not give the answers you want to hear. How do you know who will have the answer to your particular question - can you tell just by their name? Surely, that's not what this site is all about. It's for everyone to be able to contribute to. If we all started dictating who could and couldn't join in on our threads wouldn't it get a bit cliquey - even more than it is now, in fact.
