I've just noticed an answer that I posted earlier has been banned.
It was to do with using credit cards in Spain. My answer mentioned the two best cards that definitely is the best to use in Europe. This was not my opinion, but a fact, they were recommended by Which and almost every newspapers' financial pages in the past few months.
Yet the question originally asked, mentioned a credit card by name, implying it was a great deal, which I did not argue against. I just tried to balance the situation in a polite way.
Why was the question allowed, but my answer wasn't.
I apologise if I have broken the rules, it's a pity I don't know what they are.
hi compman questions and answers get deleted on here regularly for no reason. All it takes is 3 different usernames to report them and they vanish. Abed reviews the questions and may bring em back, but i dont think the answers are reviewed.
Theres been times when folks have had lots of questions and answers disappear by people playing silly *******. One of my banned answers simply says 'eh?'
Thanks for your reply pixi. Feel a bit better now knowing I'm not the only one!
I found this site back in April and have been pleased with the information I've found on here. Also, I try to answer in a non aggressive way, as everybody has a point of view on things, even if you don't always agree with them.
maybe the Ed has already reviewed it and restored it. No obvious reason for it being banned in the first place other than enemy action, it doesn't break any known rules.
You'd be surprised at what this Editor bans. My question and link for liquid bombs was removed, even though every participant in the question was polite and showed an interest in the subject. However, the American editor is quite happy to allow blatant anti-Moslem racism to flow freely from the keyboards of the usual subjects in News. [edit by ABED].
