when people post that it might take a few minutes for their questions to appear ... i am fed up of reading the same questions repeated about 2 minutes later because presumably people are impatient!

Erm, sometimes the pc or answerbank loads funny and repeats the post, has happened to me countless times, its not always impatience :-)

thye are definately not repeated posts, as there is usually 1 or 2 words difference

Either use the Report option and select Duplicate Answer -or ignore it totally and read something that appeals.

I really dont see why you get so fed up bedknobs,you look and see its been repeated.If it bugs you,just move on to the next question.It doesent happen that often and most of the time,they have unintentionally posted twice...!(:o)
