I think the sub-sections are providing their own poll. Just count the number of posts. Those that aren't being used should go, the rest get to stay.

There are lots of AB'ers still posting under the actual headings, rather using the sub-cat's.

Exactly smudge, and it's driving me nuts - which usually takes a lot of doing!

Why should people bother to look at the the sub-headings to post when they can click on to the main categories straight away? It makes no sense whatsoever. Just look at Animals & Nature for one example...all over the place.
