Explanation please AB Editor

Can you please tell me what happened to my question about iTunes yesterday? I assume it was banned for some reason, although I cannot think why. I have looked in my profile and my questions and there is nothing there. There was nothing contentious or rude in it. Please explain (check my record).

AB ED is usually away from her desk until Monday, Dudley (I know she has been off sick this week) so you might not get a reply until then.

Seems odd it doesn't appear in your profile though, it will usually show "this question has been banned" in red above it.

Thanks Pie, I will await a response after the weekend. I thought the same as you that it should appear as a banned question in 'My Profile'. In over 500 posts I have only had 3 removed but never understood why. I am never offensive and try to be the voice of reason and frequently use the AB for its original purpose (to seek an answer to a genuine question). It has become a bit of a chat room of late but I still love it.

Well for some strange reason Dudley there are peeps out there who will report a Q or A just for the sheer hell of it. It can be the most innocuous statement, non offensive, yet they will use their trigger finger for no other reason than the 'power' to do so. Whether it's jealousy, or just plain nasty they enjoy causing upset. Although it takes 3 abers to report a Q or A there are some who have multiple usernames, so it is quite easy for them to pick 'em off !!

probably just reported by malign forces, which would mean it was temporarily taken off the site (by robots, not humans) until it can be reviewed by the Ed, who will probably put it back again if there's nothing wrong with it. You could email the Ed via the Contact Us link at the bottom of the page (but she still won't be back till Monday at the earliest)

the ed doesnt discuss wht questions are banned. Its in the latter areas of the Site Rules.

erm, no, that's not fascism. Fascism is more like (say) invading Poland, running death camps, that sort of thing. A sense of proportion might be in order.
