I would find it most helpful if each question in a category were to be numbered. Trawling through a long succession of questions to find the original target Q. is a long-winded business, especially when one can't remember the date when the question was posed.
look how many questions are here on this topic alone - over 2000!!
are you really going to remember that number?
if you have added to it you can just look in your profile and find just a list of posts you have replied to - you can also click on subscribe to a question - its on the screen somewhere.
ummm it says - questions 1-20, or 20-40, or 40-60 at the top of the page...just count them as 1,2,3
Yes joko, but the options are 1-20, next page or last page. It would be good if they could show the number of pages instead. You have to click either through 20 replies at a time or to the last page. If I answered a question on page six it would be nice to be able to go to page six and read the rest of the replies. Like on google, pages 1 2 3 4 etc. Am I making sense? I find it very hard to explain things!
In other words paged numbers to click on to, like on the intitial topic q's (page 1 has 20) etc. So if your interested say in a question asked a day ago, start looking on page 4? Likewise on a very long thread, which in order to go wash your hands, come back and log on again, you can skip (good excercise) pages 1/2/3 having already read them?
I agree that it would be easier to jump to a specific page using a clickable link, but since they do not exist (yet!) my explanation above was to merely show how to get the same effect with minimal effort.
