Things have certainly changed in the seventeen years since I was a teenager. I was content to hire a video from Blockbuster, but judging by an article in today's, London Evening Standard, it is now possible to HIRE a gun for �250 a night. I grew up in Hackney(London), but am beginning to believe I have led a very sheltered life. (A belated thank you to my parents is due, I believe.)

As I type this the newsreader on Radio One is broadcasting a news item about a 15 year old boy shot dead in South London.

A lot of the weapons are imported as replicas that are currently legal, they have been modified to fire real bullets.

The people that sell them are the same groups of people who sell drugs, prostitution, etc., guns are just another naughty thing that they sell.
