I think its geared to more a let your hair down site without the banned posts/removed posts/ blatant questions asked that are from a media type of place that pays for answers that it asks here and submits replies and we don't get paid for our contribution.
I think many have opted to the alternative because the moderating team are firm but fair and don't keep banning posters or removing/editing posts.
Having said all that, its still a clique and I find any contribution i make is taken over by others and goes way off beam - but its there and available to all and NO, I don't think it should be talked about here.
I have started my own forum and I can't get members because I am being ethical and not using this forum to talk about my website or to advertise it by a link. I do feel that nobody should advertise alternatives here and I think AB Ed and staff should redress their rules because you say something innocent and get banned, you give a good critisism of the AB staff and get banned yet they allow advertising to other websites? At least elsewhere the mods etc are not biased to any one persons name so obviously people will go elsewhere. They will also advertise alternatives here while they have the chance before their post is removed and they are banned. Good luck to these members because if the new AB ed was fair and the staff were fair then people would not go elsewhere to a forum that will rightly overtake AB within months.
Maybe now AB will settle down a bit and the exuberant/ over zealous and biased attitude that the new staff of AB have shown will tone down a bit, else they will be left with very few members and watching this forum for 2 years (with my name changing many times) I feel qualified to critisize.
But no, I don't think posts advertising or talking about
