The last question on this sub-classification was at 9,10 yesterday morning, almost 24 hours ago. Surely it must be time to drop this underused and confusing heading?

Aquagility, your words are so cross they should probably be posted in another category?
The removal of this sub-section has been requested on a number of occasions, and I fully support the suggestion.

Almost all crossword related questions are posted on the main Q&P site, where they most certainly receive a more rapid response than those left languishing in the aforesaid sub-section.

So come on Ed please take note of us regular users of the most-used section in ABland!!
Thank you ☺☺☺
I totally agree Aquagility, I have also suggested this on a number of occasions. I think they could also remove riddles at the same time. 183 questions posted on there since it was add to the site in October last year.
Perhaps we should use it more - especially for questions that are long-running. The KM & MM Links games at the weekend spring to mind. I always come very late to these, and have to trawl back 10 pages or so to locate them. It would be very much easier if they were in 'Crosswords'.

Personally, I would like the site to be separated into 'Crosswords' and 'Quizzes'
are more questions asked on crosswords or asked on all those quizzes for charity etc?

seemingly not much difference, numerically?

so, if you put crosswords at the top (as the main Topic heading) will all the 'Quizzers' be content to post into a sub-topic? I doubt it .... Quizzers got the main heading and have seen crossworders abuse the set-up ....

isn't it better for crossword questioners to accept the set-up / stop moaning and use the sub-topic provided?

kettledrum's point above is a good one .... and if you go along wih it, then all crossword questions should be posted into the sub-topic for crosswords.

The revision suggested above by kettledrum would also address the problems encountered in the current set-up . . as it is the use of the term "Puzzles" that causes much of the confusion. Both crosswords and quizzes are of course applicable to this heading.
