Cutting Edge - Meet the Foxes
20 Answers
Was i the only one that found the ending extremely distressing!!??
Poor little preggers Vixen and Railway Fox living happily together and helping feed each other until this STUPID, IGNORANT middle-class family got them both shot because they killed their ugly chickens!!!
W*nkers!!
What are they doing keeping chickens in Central London anyway...?!?!
I have Foxes around my area and they are harmless (except they do make a right noise whilst mating - but i think i would too if me and my fella were "locked" together for an hour after sex!)
Anyway, i cried my eyes out when they shot them, why wouldnt they just capture them and release them in a suitable environment..?!??!
Arrgghh, horrible, heartless people, lets hope the Animal Rights people and the two strange beared Fox Lovers get hold of thier address and stick a bullet in their arse!
*sorry - rant over and yes, this is the wrong section, but it did hurt my Soul watching it... so i think that might count...?!*

However there was 1 moment in the programme that did make me laugh so much, when the older couple were watching their daily breakfast "fox watch" and caught them mating, their faces were absolutely fantastic!!

why do you think foxes belong but chickens don't? Why do you care about one but not about the other? Why are chicken-lovers heartless and fox-lovers wonderful?
Nature's all about kill or be killed, and that includes humans. But don't go praising animal rights people, they're terrorists who rob graves, which seems to me a lot worse than anything any animal ever does

lmao Miss I - i got a strange feeling that they used those videos for a bit of mating themselves! Strange little couple, bless them... think giving them a slice of chocolate roll was somewhat OTT though... but when we have a BBQ we do leave our left over meat to the Foxes.
I didnt praise Animal Rights i just said i hope they find out where that family live and make them realise that they could've done the right thing and let the foxes live!
(and chickens are ugly... if they want organic eggs they just need to pop down to their local Waitrose!)

jno, I got upset for the chickens too and think everything has the right to live, but their coop was absolutely ridiculous, the owners should have made more of an effort to protect their chickens, I have 3 cats and it would have taken any one of them seconds to get into the coop and feast.
When the family were looking round their garden for a way the foxes could have got in I was gobsmacked, they were looking at holes in the fence, the fence was about 2.5m tall, and the top half was trellis, a fox would have easily jumped/climbed that.
It seemed a bit ridiculous to get the shooter in, knowing that the foxes whould just be back in a matter of weeks. I live in a town centre and see foxes all the time, day and night, I'd love chickens but it's not fair on them.

Foxes are a state of mind. I used to throw bricks at them for digging holes in my flower beds, but then I took a gentler stance and let them get on with it. Cayenne pepper is good at keeping them off the beds now, and last year I was entertained by at least 4 cubs gambolling on the lawn. They are able to leap about 3 feet into the air vertically for no apparent reason other than fun.
Firstly I'm not really keen on anything being killed. But I do think it's weird that people get very concerned for 'fluffy' animals, and not others. Would anyone care if some large rats had been killing the chickens, and subsequently poisoned or shot? Doubt it. They would have been cast as evil plague bring Mr Rat, and his filthy wife Mrs Rat killing daft old Mrs Chicken, rather than lovely Mr. Railway fox just trying to feed his preggers wife.
Hi nat_84-
You say these foxes should have been captured and released back into a suitable environment but where? I have lived in the country for over 20 years and rarely see any foxes here, probably 2 in all those years. I think most are shot (gun fire often heard) or hunted so unfortunately rural areas wouldnt be suitable either.
I do think the chicken run was pathetically built. It was almost like a set up so viewers could see the devastation caused, almost a propaganda ploy. I too have had ducks, chickens and geese killed by foxes but it was down to my lack of fox proof housing and entirely my fault.
I would love to be able to feed them in my garden as shown on the programme. How amazing would that be! The local farmers wouldnt be too impressed though!

lol i think i would've been sad if i saw a preggers Miss Rat and Railway Rat be shot and killed!
I think its the fact that it could've be handled differently, what was the harm in trapping and releasing them...?
I think the shooter was very persuasive in ensuring that his 'client' went for the KILL route rather than the trap route.

It hurt my heart and soul too. To watch that precotious, bloodthirsty family made me so sad to be human. There was a solution and that was to make sure the ******* had a more secure chicken coup. If I lived in London I would have gone round there & stuck a bullet up his arse, all I could do was cry instead. I wonder if anything did happen to him? They showed loads of pictures of his house. I naively thought there would be a happy ending after the commercial break and kept watching, I did not think we would be subjected to a pregant fox and her mate be shot while feeding. Even that guys neighbour thought he was a dick.
Didnt buy Heat but i looked online and its defo Rachel Stevens on the day we saw her! Apparently celebrating her birthday!
