I have been in touch with the ed over the last few days about this and it would seem that the team are overworked and what with the bank Holiday too things have got backed up some what. The advice has been to continue to bring these posts to their attention by using the report option and they will get around to reviewing them eventually.

I did think that the goalposts had been moved and the site's editorial team was starting to condone some of the more extreme attempts at banter that involved threats and obscene language and insults, but apparently it is to be sorted out shortly and any posts containing death wishes and those that call decent people by foul names will be dealt with.

So yayyyyy ed and phew!!!!!!!!!!!!

How do we define "decent people" Dot, that's the problem.

But banning does not work anyway. It is all very well to say that somebody isn't doing their job - but even when that person does 'do their job' and ban a poster, it only takes a few minutes to re-register and the banned poster is back on the site.
