Hello!

Would it be possible for you to impose some restrictions on the number of questions a user can ask in 24 hours please, sort of like the ban you get if you overpost with answers.

Thanks in advance, c~s

Hello B00!

I won't be too specific but I think there are a couple of users who take the mickey a little bit and post questions for the sake of it- mostly in one category. I just think if there were restrictions to how often they could post a question they might get bored of doing it. I don't like to come across as miserable but it seems as though they are just out for attention !
I whole heartedly agree!
I'm with you on this one curly-sue.
I call them the drossmongers!
Question Author
Thank you, I thought it was just me !
lol yes, I can see where you're coming from curly~sue (hello by the way, you well?)

I too get the feeling that some users post questions just to be heard, though I think if your idea was adopted the allowance should be pretty generous for those users who do seem to have a lot of problems/ questions in any one given day.

Can't see ya idea going down too well with the Quizzers either ;-)
Ditto what China said! :o)
Hmmm, I never thought about the quizzers, some of whom are like me and post loads of Q's, especially on a Sunday.
The people who are a pain are those that post a string of inane questions, usually in Body & Soul. Most of their Q's have sod all to do with the category and they are just attention seeking misfits.
Why can't we bring back flogging?
Look what I can do now Whiskey!

I hadn't thought of that B00 (I'm well, thank you. How are you ?)

Maybe not restrict that category then but the rest I can't see any need for anyone to post, say, over 4 questions per day !
Surely more than one in B&S is overkill? You can usually ask it all on the thread anyway? And if you want to update people you can do it on the same thread.

Or am I just being mean?
You're not being mean China and I agree with you.
I just wish that people would ignore the drossmongers and not answer their stupid questions. They would soon get fed up and go back to trainspotting/pulling the wings off flies or whatever else occupies their sad lives.

I also agree with you China Doll. I wonder if others do ?
It wouldn't stop them. The trolls have several user names.
I only posted questions I needed to know today and they were in right catergory :-(
Did you actually need to know about pet names? Come on now. Be honest!

Also, the baby question was a contiuation of a question from yesterday. So concievably could have gone on the same thread maybe? (I've not actually read it).

It's not just you that's guilty of it and as a Q&A site on the WWW you can and should be free to ask the questions you want answers to. It's entirely up to the users how they use it it.

However I do still think a limit in B&S would be a good idea.

There's a lot of dross in there at the moment and it's becoming tiresome. In my opinion.
Question Author
I didn't mean you 4getmenot :-)
No I think I know who you meant. you can sometimes tell who's tried to think long and hard of a question to post and I emphasise the word tried :-)
Think it would be a great idea.

4getmenot, you post relevant questions in other categories too, I don't think all 4 of your questions were in B&S were they?

There are definitely some on B&S who would peev me with their extensive postings if I wasn't too lazy to care! Perhaps if they limited it to a certain amount of questions per category per day or something?
