Abusive questions...should they be left in?

which is basically not a quesiton, just a vitriolic direct attack on another user. Should these be banned? I don't know why they are posted but to stir up trouble.

Meredith I have had my full address posted on here, received death threats, been sent pizzas, taxis and the most pathetic hardman I have ever decked etc and the user is still on AB. Why??? All because I said Aberywtttthyyywttthywttth University was crap.

Does it matter if you report it or not?

I had to apply to the local magistrates to obtain an order for AB to supply me the ISP of a user, even though AB could have quite legitimately bypassed the data protection act.

I am afraid the nature of the modern computers and sad or bad users are things we just have to accept.

Look at my question below about instant banning the abusive ones? Has the ed replied? Has she even read it? All I received was abusive answers from welsh people (most banned now)

Why people come on here when they must surely realise they are not wanted, shows the mental state of the user, if you ask me.

legend, I don't want to get into an argument, I feel stupid for not forseeing that this would open a can of worms. I don't care what shadowman says, I know you and think you're a much better person than he is suggesting, certainly not a pedo. If someone starts calling someone a pedo without justification then they have stooped far too low in my estimation and I do not care what they say from then on.
However (breath) I do not wish to take sides and I abhor arguments, I just think there should be an absolute total ban on someone abusing the site by using a question facility in a specific category just to hurl abuse at someone. It's disgusting and disgraceful and if I were an advertiser on this site I would demand it be pulled, rather than have my brand associated with that kind of vile behaviour.

Sadly though Meredith, I have to echo what Goodsy has already said.

Be it right or wrong- the abusive thread about Legend is only still there because alot of people don't like him and they can gleefully watch the goings on. If the post had been about someone the majority of ABers like it would be gone before you can blink. I trust you yourself have reported it?
