name of series and stars

sorry about the mispelling before .. does anyone remember a short lived series where two guys went around the country giving out checks of different amounts one of the guys worked for the IRS

The Highway to Heaven guys were Angels and the show worked rather like the one on the Hallmark channel does now - can't think of the name

Was it the one where the rich father and son moved into an area where they were unknown, and got to know the people, then decided who to give money to depending on how they had been treated by them, such as the hairdresser who trained underprivileged youngsters?

no it wasn;t highway to heaven and it wasn;t a reality show it seems to me it was on about the same time as fantasy island but i;m not sure but thank for trying anyway

I found the answer to my question the show was called lottery . it starred Ben Murphy and Marshall Colt . Ben Murphy;s character worked for the Ireland intersweep lottery and gave out $5000, in cash and checks worth millions. Marshall Colts character worked for the IRS and was on hand to make sure Uncle sam got his share. it was on one season 1983-1984 16 episodes . Does anyone else remember the series now ? thanks for your help
