jno has explained that the over posting was the fault of the system.
Keeping someone in the dungeon is cruel and barbaric, not the sort of behaviour you would expect in this day and age. Shame on you and your team.

On a serious note, if there is a limit (which I was unaware of), and other ABers have fallen foul to the same rule, sure an automatic email warning you that you are over posting should be sent. If there is code to detect the number of posts you are writing then surely an automated email can be written to trigger a n early warning.

thank you for your expressions of concern. I seem to be half-restored, so that some posts are appearing and others aren't. Perhaps this is what Catholics used to call Limbo until they abolished it; I expect AB is the only organisation now recognising it.

No idea if this post will appear or not.

tried to send the ed an e.mail but it wont work at the mo...(:O).

I keep getting error messages when I post and have to try again to get through.

Then the first post goes through in spite of the message so the second one gets deleted.

So at this rate I will soon be banned for overposting again when it's all the system's fault. I don't think shutting down all morning has solved the problem (actually they might have been trying to solve some completely different problem like biddies trying to smuggle Ovaltine onto the site).
