the famous ignore button ?

this is a regular posting on ab.
been seen a dozen times or more.
i can only say that having been a member of exochat .
not the new one.
or the last one.
but the one before that one.
they had such as thing.
it didnt work
reason being if folk used it.
they couldnt see the posts that they were so annoyed by , but were inexplicably drawn towards.
if you went into ur profile.
you might begin the day ignored by 4 users ,then it was 1 user, then 3 then 5 and so on.
the ignore button only proved how much folk were drawn to certain users.
it also built a feeling of paranoia because a lot of folk didnt know who was ignoring who.
failed miserably.
as you can tell by the number of incarnations of the said site : - )
so would it work on ab?
not a hope.
i think we are all far too nosey here to ignore what everyones up to .

I can honestly say that I would use it, only with people that were just plain nasty all the time. I never used it there though, no one annoyed me enough.

now were on the 6th incarnation of the froggers/exo sites ive decided its so dull and banal i wont even attempt to join as id rather sit and wait for the next one : - )

i think it will be in nicer colours.

but it does give those who arent nosey the chance to avoid people that they find clog up the site. I know one of one user that many complain about (not you btw) they could go through phases of clogging up the entire B&s section with non question questions, if that makes sense. I would have put them on ignore to try and get to some proper threads.

People like you wouldn't get ignored for long because you annoying in a morbidly fascinating way. Although I am sure that has just come out in the wrong way.
