its just an idea, but dont you think it would be a good idea to have chatterbank as it is now, then an Adult chatterbank that will tell ABers that the contents may contain posts of an explicit nature, and contain strong language, if easily offended please dont read. this will solve the problem of ABers being offended by the posts in chatterbank now. and maybe stop chatterbank from being closed again, as the way it is going it wont be long untill it is.

I think that's a good idea Marvelman, also if there was some indication that a user name was under 16 would be good too. Something like all under 16's usernames were in a different colour or some other sign.

Good idea Louisa, dont quite know how that could be done though, they have adult content on other talk sites that seem to work ok, maybe AB could learn a thing or two from them, we will have to see.

I think there are plenty of adult chat sites out there and there is no need for AB to join them. Chatterbank is bound to deviate into adult areas and it should be monitored more vigorously. Other sites have moderators with powers to stop threads and delete offending posts.

Maybe the limit on posts users are allowed should be lessened at night. Most of the problems occur when people have had a drink.

There is no way of verifying someones age from their email.

I don't mind a bit of rude behaviour now and again, but an Adult Chatterbank will just encourage those with a filthy mind to post stuff that is smuttier and smuttier and often obscene.
