Help Technical Thicko here!

I'm sorry to bore you when you're all in banter full flow and having fun but can anyone tell me where to find instructions on the site how to add an avatar please and change my favourite catagory etc cos goodness only knows where they got technology from. Im not too bright on the techno side and appreciate your help. THANKYOU

well I went into photobucket, done a search for something I liked :D

then I saved it to my computer( as a jpeg) went into my profile and "browse" then found the pic on my comp, double clicked it which set the path in the box.

clicked "submit" and that was that!

I was advised to save whatever pic I was going to use, in my docs, and name it with my user name. On the profile page, click browse, choose my document folder & click the name of the photo you want to send - then click submit!

Yeh that advice is all very well when you have a puter that obeys your every command. Some of us are really having problems with this new site and not because we are thick but it seems very selective as to who it accepts.

i was told today how to do this, and look at my result - good eh?

here is what you do .... unless you already have a picture in your 'my pictures' folder that you want to use - search the web for one yopu like, right click on it and save as into my pictures . come onto AB and go into 'my profile' .. scroll down to avatar and click on browse - your picture folder will appear containing the pic you want. doulble click on it and you will see the name of it appear in the text box for avatar - then just click on submit.

and you cant change you favourite category because it depends on where you've posted most. Except you could post loads in another category to change it i suppose
