I have just received this email from AB support team. I didn't tell them I can't access the site. I can log in to the beta version but can't access anything from that point onwards.

"We are sorry to hear that you are still experiencing problems on the AnswerBank. After the tests we have just performed, there should not be any reason for you not being able to ccess the site. I've no cookie problem. Can anyone tell me how to try different browsers please?

Why did the punctuation get left out of my question, but shows up when you open it?
Perhaps it's the wrong cookies, LL - I find Hobnobs very beneficial for site accessing ;-)

I think they may mean the Firefox browser as an alternative to Internet Explorer 7. This one usually works when all else fails - I hasten to add...usually. It's definitely worth a try though.
Not this time!! I'm on Firefox and cannot get past front page - if that!!

Thanks for your answers folk. I can't upload any new software as I'm not the computer administrator, so I am done for and my days on AB are limited!!!

I'll try some double chocolate chip Cetti and see if that works. Perhaps I should try putting them in the floppy disc slot this time instead of CD drive!!!
No LL, you need to try everything before admitting defeat.

Occasionally the craziest option might just do the trick, so have a go at Disk Cleanup and DeFragging......you never know.........If that fails.....then eat a packet of double choc bikkies!!!!

OK Cetti, I have washed my discs and got rid of all the cookie crumbs, but I don't how how to defragg. Is it anything like detox and will I need colonic irrigation!!
Yes, It's a colonic treat for your computer - clears out all the old rubbish... or poo if you wish!

Access from Start, Programs, then System Tools...then eat 2 packs choc digestive or Jaffa Cakes, depending on mood!

It only lets the 'Administrator' do that and the 'Administrator' is away. But thanks Cetti. Anyway all I'm getting now is a message saying I'm using the wrong string and in a thread above this on jno says it's because I haven't tied my hamsters onto the treadmill properly.

Time for lunch methinks.
Help Cetti may I interupt please, how can I clear my cookies!

Can anyone please tell me how to clear my cookies - thank you!
Here netty, don't panic!

Go to Start - Control Panel - Internet Options

On the left you will see Browing History, select Delete. Then you will see Delete cookies.

I ignore this and select Delete All which is at the bottom next to Close.
Just noticed you're Firefox, so Tools - Options - Privacy and Show cookies.

AB should be in your 'websites to allow' as they need cookies.
