As a supposedly reputable and responsible organisation, how on earth can you justify allowing the amount of obscene abuse appearing of late in the Chatterbank forum ?

You have removed the abiity of the sane contributors to moderate the threads themselves with the removal of the report this answer button. For what good reason ?

Relegating a 'username' to the dungeon seems to have precious little effect, with the majority of the offenders being quite happy to boast of having many alternatives to use..........

Surely it is noy beyond your capabilities to devise more punative measures for those causing ost offence ?

And to indicate that you are actually reading these posts wouldn't hurt, either !

Whilst I appreciate your support, Raggy Roman, I feel that to even dredge up the substance of Wardys abuse and mention it actually does no good.
The sentiments he expressed were despicable and the language vile. He should be banned. The man has no self-edit facility and should be removed from these pages as soon as he is spotted..........
But he is not alone and that is what should be concentrated on.
Legend - I'm sorry if you detect an under-current...........I had hoped my sentiments were plain to see. There is no side,or agenda, other than my hope that this forum can be a more democratic and pleasant place to be.

Why are we even mentioning individual users on here? That's a sure fire way of getting this, up to now, valid (used that word alot today!) post into the schoolyard squabbling stage.

Monkey didn't refer to any particular users, and I don't think the post was meant to 'get' at anyone, it was a general "the site's becoming a joke" moan.

Raggy Roman- the post wasn't refering to any user in particular, and up to a point in the threads no one else did. So why bring certain users into the equation?

Said it once, will say it again- it was a general "the sites gone to the dogs" moan by monkey, not against specific people.

Now, because usernames have been mentioned it's going to turn into a bitchfest, which the original post was getting at- that'd be ironic if it wasn't so bloody sad!

The original post, that one, up there ^^^^^^^^^^^^^at the top of the page mentions no names as there are really quite a few ABers who are guilty. Guilty of using the anonymity afforded by this forum to treat others badly.......

I apologise for becoming side-tracked by one of the *ahem* personalities on the site, but I stand by my comments.

As soon as I typed the word 'democratic' I realised almost exactly to the word what respose I was going to get.

I have been a member since August last year FYI. I hope that this length of service now entitles me to hold an opinion?
