Good Afternoon ChatterBankers,
How are you all? Yes, Yes I know its the weekend but hey!...Hope you're all having a good one :o )
Just wanted to carry out a quick bit of research in reference to the AB Newsletter.
As its aimed at you guys I want to look at making it something you all want in your inbox and actually look forward to receiving :o )
So, with that in mind if you've got a couple of spare minutes...
1) How many of you actually receive and open the AnswerBank Newsletter?
2)What do you like/dislike about the AB Newsletter? What would you change? i.e. the layout, colouring, content, written style etc
3)What new features would you like to see on the newsletter?
I just want your ideas, thoughts, comments and suggestions on the AB newsletter. So really a general overall opinion...
Look forward to hearing your thoughts.
Thanks
AB Ed

I can't recall the last time I received the newsletter, I do still get notifications of posts so you must have my e-mail address.
I can't remember what is in it so if you want to send me the most recent one then I will be happy to give you my constructive feedback. I am really good at this type of thing.

1) Not anymore I don't. I changed my email address and received nothing from here since.
2) The layout is bland and uninspired.
3) I think that if you're not going to blog on here then you should at least do one on there. You could probably add more by way of interestiing questions that have been asked and the ABers that have gone above and beyond the call in answering them. Perhaps some of the more interesting debates on here could be advertised. You could have recipies from food, book of the week from arts and literature, hot topics from news, what to watch from media and maybe even a hot track of the week from music. A few congratulations and happy birthdays. And finally an update of what you lot at headquaters are actually doing as it's abundantly clear it's not monitoring the rubbish on CB at the moment and dealing with it.

Hi
I receive and read it but it usually never really interests me much as it's basically just a front for advertising stuff which I take no notice of.
I would like to see a bit of humour in there and maybe some interesting facts. Prehaps something about the going's on on AB so at least it looks like you are reading & monitoring the site.
I play the games you advertise in the newsletter sometimes like the sudoku etc and I think it would be a good idea if you had like a top ten high score somewhere on AB so we can have a bit of friendly competition.
Just a few of my thoughts anyway, so hope it helps.

It's not just the green Whiffey (there are two) Ed that is the problem and I'm sure you're aware of it. I know I've written to you about it and I'm sure others have too. Anyway, this thread is neither the time or the place but I really feel that you and your team need to be picked up on this.
Which leads me nicely on to my next thought, what about a comments section also on newsletter, kind of like a suggestion box but that has the best suggestions on there and so a kind of poll can be done.
You could maybe list some questions that have yet to be answered and may have been waiting a few days? I didn't used to go in to animals and nature very ofen but imagine my suprise when it turned out I could answer quite lucidly (and at great length) about harlequin ladybirds. I now check in there too but there are often areas on AB where people don't visit but who might be suprised to find that there are questions in there that can be answered.
How about a problem page too? I'd be a great agony aunt! :0) Well maybe now I am getting carried away.

Hi Ed!
I edited my profile some time ago to stop receiving the newsletter. I felt it was little more than an advertising vehicle for other companies and had little content that was relevant to AB itself. It certainly wasn't something I wanted in my inbox every week.
I like the suggestions that have been made by China Doll and Wingnut and would love to see many of them appear in a new-style newsletter.
A blog from your goodself in the newsletter is a great suggestion. At least that way we would all know that someone in AB Towers is actually paying attention to the site and it's goings on! I feel that a blog would make it known that there is an editorial presence on the site and it may contribute to lessening some of the silliness/nastyness that has been going on of late.
