A litlle while ago we had a problem with people using swear words for their user names despite the profanities filter going into over-drive on everything else. We now have "***" posting and don't really think that this is appropriate either - is there no filter for user names?

Well glad to see that makes sense... it can be used as a name but not in a sentence! Any danger of some consistency!!
Hello Becks, it does seem to be a load of old cobblers doesn't it?
Alan Titmarsh
Some names might still work in the main text then...

For the avoidance of doubt: pinus has been part of my various email addresses for ever. The streets round here are all named after trees, and my tree is Pine - in Latin pinus It was only after I had set up my first email account that it occurred to me that I might be misunderstood.

I see AB still have the AB username '***' under Money & Finance - Heading: Enough. How does he/she do it?
You see - that was edited, but the user name isn't. Anyway, it begins with W, has an O in the middle & ends with G! So as I say, how does he/she do it?
Well the W*g user name has disappeared -BUT - AB now have a w@nker user name on Food & Drink: 'Ring of Fire!
I think this site needs a total new rethink on all sorts of things. It seems a bit amateur in lots of ways. Crisis management springs to mind. It's a great site with nice people, but lots of problems need ironing out.
