Why doesn't the AB Ed deal with complaints about trolls who post stupid, offensive messages?

I have twice recently complained about one such moron, who today posted a reply which I found exceedingly upsetting and irrelevant. No answer from AB at all.

I know we have a 'report this post' so why can't we have a 'report this answer' facility? Even if it was only for the person asking the original question to use.

This place went down hill, in my opinion, when the report answer button was removed. Instead, the whole thread has to go, or nothing . Its stupid. No one moderates on here and we cant even self moderate anymore, hence a lot of the crap that has been on here of late.

supaStar - I asked a genuine question about a flying beetle landing on my desk, and the reply given was 'was that your mum lankeela?'

As my mum is dead, I found that remark totally unnecessary and offensive. By telling supaStar that, no doubt whoever is behind it got a buzz, thinking they had riled me, but I would rather just have it removed.

you will learn ignore such comments, and sometimes things may come across negative on screen but infact the person typing it may not have offended you purposely.

But I feel your disgust, we have all been subject to taunts, comments. You learn to ignore. Trust me!

supastar is a well known idiot, I have rarely seen many posts by him that are useful, he spends most of his time lamenting about his pregnant co-worker who is married and will be starting maternity leave, which has sent him into a spiral of the nervous squits

I am not easily upset or offended, and often put answers that might be considered a bit 'extreme' but they are usually said with humour, but I could not see the point of the answer, it was not funny, or relevant, and I just felt I had to make a point.

dont let it bother you, serioulsy. Sometimes these people crave a reaction and feed off it. Dont give them that satisfaction. Most of them wouldnt say it to your face, and as cowards only make such stupid comments in this faceless environment because they hide behind their screen. You will come across a few of these peeps on here.

There are certain posters who always respond in argument form, always looking at others questions or comments as though it was an attack towards them, when in-fact they weren't.

I know what u mean Lan. I was tempted to leave today because I left myself wide open after I let loose on a thread that I started because I was feeling low and need to talk. I shouldn't have been so silly as to think that it wouldn't just lead to me losing my temper with some one I don't think understood what I was trying to say. My fault completely I know because I actually thought people on here cared enough. But I know that there are some on here who just love picking over other peoples misfortune.
Some how it makes them feel better about themselves. Sad morons with sad lives and to much time on their hands.

Some can be cruel and insensitive. Don't let others upset or annoy you, soon the page will turn and the thread will be forgotten.
