What do we believe? ....
The benefit of the doubt?
The Ed has been ill - bset of luck with your recovery, if genuine
There has been no direction at AB for 3 months
Someone needs to 'carry the can' (Ed's boss)
A good excuse? ....
A 'story' is needed to 'explain' the silence of the last 3 months?
Ed has not been ill
Sir Alan Sugar is needed urgently at AB Tower
Well -
I shall wait to see what the next 3 months bring?
The Jury is out .....

I too am not 'convinced' like yapisle / LoftyLottie / crazz1975
We are told that the Ed has been ill as being the reason for silence from 6 March 08 to 9 June 08 ..... yet there were 'AB Editor' postings (including the competition still cluttering up Q&A) ..... so, someone was allowed 'to act' / to take the user name BUT, not inform Abers as to what was going on ....
Then there was the immeditae prior gap 11 Dec 07 to 5 March 08 ...... do you recall the explanation posted, then -
Theres been so much going on at AB recently so were sorry for the apparent lack of Editorial presence on the AnswerBank but we have been working hard behind the scenes, responding to all your emails although some of you claim not to have received them! So, if you have emailed us but havent had a response check out our FAQ page and make sure your email account is set up correctly to receive emails from us.
Weve also been answering your all your editorial and technical phone calls as well as moderating the site and attempting to fix the new version of AnswerBank!
... well, the above excuse fell into disrepute, as the site has gone backwards and not forward in the last 3 months ....
AB explanations for six months of Chaos are no better than Politicians explaining their Expenses!!!!!

I imagine any staff member can post AB Asks posts, and presumably they can all do the routine jobs of sluicing out CB, answering the phones, feeding the yaks etc. But they can't do the Editor's blog because that's personal to the Ed. As for why nobody else was appointed to stand in, it looks to me as if AB doesn't make much money - no subs, and relatively few ads - and it's unlikely there's enough round to hire a temp while still paying the Ed's sick pay. It's not parliament, y'know.
