A man arrives in a town for the first time,he gets off the bus and asks a local, Wheres the nearest boozer.to which the local replies,You are talking to him. Ok its not the funniest but how would you tell it to our foreign friends without getting a shrug. Eg. Ou se trouve le cafe le plus pres.Vous parlez avec il.

It all hinges on whether they too have a word which has a double meaning - ie a place to drink, and someone who drinks too much..... nuff said
