I know we've spoken about this before but the increasing number of posters asking about Prescription Drug side effects and symptoms of illnesses that should have been seen by a GP long before they asked ouris really frightening me now, and I believe there should either be a warning or a disclaimer above the Body and Soul section. I believe woofgang mentioned the same thing concerning sick animals and pets a while ago. These two areas really do need to be addressed for all our sakes.

I agree Cettie. Surely people have the sense to ask the GP or even the pharmacist about this. (They can give brilliant advice on medications). After all most of the 'members' here are not qualified Doctors or Vets. I thought the purpose of this site was to debate, give opinions, or pass on our general knowledge and ideas. Maybe we should just put 'Please see you GP (or vet), we are not qualified to answer this question'. I know it will upset or pi55 some people off, but maybe they'll get the message eventually.

Cetti  and lindy loo - I understand and share your concerns. These threads are monitored regularly and I try to add messages suggesting genuine professional help or advice be sought, if such a message has not already been left by other users. You, and others, take the time to give this sensible advice, and it is appreciated.

That said, a permanent 'disclaimer' sounds like a ery sensible suggestion. Thanks.

Thanks AB editor for your comments, it's nice to be appreciated!!

That would be wonderful ED - I know a lot of us would rest much easier if that were in place. Thank you for your kind words - they're very encouraging.
Thanks for your thanks!
