Hello dot, I can still remember the shock of his death. I was only 16 and it seemed unbelievable to me that anyone so young and talented could die like that.
At 16, I associated death with old people and just couldn't believe that he'd gone.
Thank you for reminding me, hard to think it's nearly 40 years ago.

I was the exact same age shoemad, itwas horrible, it just came on the news around lunchtime and I'll never forget the shock. Not so many people see it like that now.

i have all his poetry, dozens of pics still, an amazing collection.
