Can we have a new thread called medications, so people can post about problems they may have with their medication that they are taking, side effects, how often it should be taken, things doctors dont tell you.

If people have questions like this they should always be advised to contact either their GP or NHS Direct. The internet is bad enough for people with limited medical knowledge doing research let alone others with limited medical knowledge answering them.
E.g. I work in a clinical setting, I have a knowlege gleaned from that setting of certain drugs, treatments, symptons etc... However what I do not have is several years medical training, the medical history of the person and indeed the person sitting in front of me.
Doctors will tell you what you want to know. If you're unsure of something then ask again. If you're unsure then get a second opinion from another doctor or specialist practitioner.

Hi Tamirra,
There is something called The Yellow Card scheme, set up by the MHRA (The Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency ) and it is to encourage patients to report adverse side effects.
http://www.mhra.gov.uk/NewsCentre/Pressrelease s/CON038803
The more reports the MHRA receives about suspected adverse drug reactions, the sooner we can relay important safety messages to the public and healthcare professionals everyone benefits from better information.
If you suspect that you have had a side effect to your medicine, please report it via the Yellow Card Scheme. Ask your pharmacist for a Yellow Card or better still report online.
Just a little info for you :)
